01 / The challenge

A problem
worth understanding.

When business tools exchange data invisibly, a failed sync can go unnoticed. Teams need a way to understand connections and recover from failures.

A clear integration console that makes connections, recent events, and recovery actions understandable without exposing sensitive implementation details.

  • Connection status at a glance
  • A readable event timeline
  • Explicit retry and recovery states
  • Configuration separated from secrets
02 / Behind the idea

Trust comes from visibility

Relay explores a calmer way to manage integrations. A central connection map describes how systems relate, while a concise event stream shows what is happening. A useful status answers both “is it working?” and “what should I do next?”

An engineering approach

A production implementation would verify webhook signatures, validate payloads, and acknowledge events only after durable storage. Background processing would use bounded retries and idempotent operations to avoid duplicate effects.

Credentials would stay on the server. Logs would use redacted event metadata, and the interface would expose only information appropriate to the user’s role.

What this concept demonstrates

Integration architecture, failure recovery, system visibility, and thoughtful technical interfaces. Connection states and events in the preview are illustrative sample data.
